Saskatoon, SK - Spearheaded by Rush Ambassador Ken Rosen and Rush Nation, a total of $75,000 was raised for Operation Smile Canada!

On Saturday, March 30th, the Saskatchewan Rush hosted the Vancouver Warriors for Saturday Night Lacrosse, benefiting Operation Smile Canada. Together, we we able to deliver life-changing surgeries and new smiles to children across the world.

Initiatives to help raise funds included:

  • Goal Donations totalling $2,880: For every Rush goal, the Rush organization donated ONE SMILE ($240)
  • Donations were accepted at a photo booth on the concourse
  • Rush Fans were instructed to text 'SMILE' for a one-time donation of $20
  • Proceeds for every Bruiser doll purchased March 30 in-store and at SaskTel Centre
  • The Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association donated $7,500 from the 50/50 raised during the game
  • A portion of a participant's fee was donated from the 2nd Annual Recharge and Relax event
  • Rush ambassador and super fan, Ken Rosen, along with local corporate partners raised money towards the cause

"We are so grateful to be a part of this wonderful foundation. To help give kids a new outlook on life and a smile to be proud of is something you can't put a price on. This wouldn't be possible without the generous support of our fans and local business owners from across our province who helped create 300 new smiles. Thank You Rush Nation" said Bruce Urban, Owner of the Saskatchewan Rush.

Operation Smile Canada is part of the largest volunteer-based medical charity providing free cleft surgery for children. With help from donors, volunteers, and corporate partners, Operation Smile transforms lives with surgeries that can take as little as 45 minutes and cost as little as $240.00.
