Saskatoon, SK - Mother’s Day proved to be a very special day for the Saskatchewan Rush, as the team won a must-win game on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre. However, Mother’s Day is a day that holds far more significance than any Lacrosse game. Sunday, May 13th was a day to celebrate amazing women who have loved, nurtured, and made sacrifices for their children.

On behalf of all mothers in Rush Nation, the Saskatchewan Rush would like to announce a donation of $50,000 to the Saskatoon Interval House. The Interval House helps women and children escaping violence find a safe haven – a home where they can heal their physical and emotional scars and rebuild their lives.

“In light of Mother’s Day just passing, the timing seemed appropriate for our team and the incredible mothers who support our team, to give this gift. The Interval House is a very special cause that we believe does a truly remarkable job in what they do.” - Saskatchewan Rush Owner, Bruce Urban

Earlier this season, a group from the Interval House attended a Rush game as part of the Prairie Mobile MVP Experience. It was an evening that will not be soon forgotten, as mothers and their children were able to have a fun night out together cheering on the Rush.

“We are extremely grateful to the Saskatchewan Rush for their very generous donation! Saskatoon Interval House is a temporary emergency shelter for women and their children fleeing domestic violence. As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations from the community in order to keep our doors open and our programs operating. This donation will allow us to continue to support the courageous women and children that come through our doors. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!” - Saskatoon Interval House Executive Director, Tanya Wiggins
