The Saskatchewan Rush have partnered with NexGen Energy to help make a difference in communities across northern Saskatchewan. Rush players along with NexGen staff met with youth groups in Laloche, Turner Lake and Buffalo Narrows to touch on the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle capped off with lacrosse demonstrations put on by Rush players.
“Children from the nursery to all the way to Grade 12 participated. To see athletes of that calibre come here and do a few drills with the kids is phenomenal and exciting and it’s great to see.” - Alwyn Piche, Gym Teacher, Birch Narrows School
“The communities that we work within and around, are very important to us. Anything we can bring up to the community, especially with a focus on youth thru education, health and wellness is key. And our partnership with the Rush enables us to do that, simply by showing them a new sport.” Adam Engdahl, Senior Project Manager, NexGen Energy
“This partnership with NexGen over the last two years has been an incredible opportunity for kids to get up close and personal with our players and help inspire them to dream big, with the power of sport.” – Andrea Glieheisen, VP Marketing & Partnerships
