Alexander Joins Rush Coaching Staff

SASKATOON - The Saskatchewan Rush have hired Bruce Alexander as their offensive coordinator ahead of the 2023/24 National Lacrosse League Season.

Alexander, was a first-round pick of the Syracuse Smash back in 1998 before his 145 game NLL playing career led him to the Rush in 2010. During his time on the field, the Victoria, BC product scored 76 goals and had 177 assists.

At the senior A level, Bruce lifted the Mann Cup three times (1997, 1999 and 2003). The Mercyhurst University lacrosse Hall Of Fame member also represented Canada on the internation stage. 

On the bench, Alexander has coached throughout the minor lacrosse rankings in British Columbia, while most recently spending the 2023 as an Assistant Coach with the Victoria Shamrocks in the WLA. 

"We're working with a highly talented and very athletic team, so I'm confident in our abilities to compete with the best in the NLL."

Alexander will replace Cam Sedgwick on the bench, who will be stepping down to spend more time with his family.
