Buffalo, NY - Despite a few incredible performances, the Saskatchewan Rush fell a goal short against last season's NLL Champions, the Buffalo Bandits, 15-14 in overtime.

Inside KeyBank Center, the road squad jumped out to a 2-1 lead after 15 minutes and found themselves tied 5-5 at the half.

After a wild third quarter, the two teams sat level at 11-11 heading into the final frame. Throughout the entire game, no team led by more than a single goal.

In the fourth quarter, the Rush found themselves down late, but Robert Church's sixth goal of the game sent the contest to overtime with 31 seconds left in regulation.

Tehoka Nanticoke scored the overtime winner for the Bandits, avoiding the upset on their home turf.

Church finished the game with a team high eight points. Ryan Keenan had a hat trick along with seven points and Patrick Dodds had a pair of goals in a six point effort.

Between the pipes, Frank Scigliano made 41 saves in the loss.
