Game Preview - Rush vs Thunderbirds

For the second straight week, we face the Thunderbirds, but this time we're at home.

Last weekend’s game came right down to the wire as Austin Shanks scored with just over a minute left to win the game 10-9. Going into this weekend, Ryan Keenan and Austin Shanks are tied for the team lead in scoring with 16 points. Zach Manns leads the team in goals with 9, and Keenan leads the team in assists with 11.

Halifax enters the game with a 2-1 record. Randy Staats leads the team in points with 14, while Dawson Theede leads the team in goals with 7. Warren Hill enters this game with 138 saves and a 6.65 GAA on the season.

Last weekend's game improved the Rush to a 3-1 record this season. The team is 2-0 at home to start the season and has outscored opponents 23-17 when playing at Co-op Field. Notable milestones include Robert Church closing in on 400 career goals (9 away). Also, Derek Keenan will coach his 300th game on Friday, becoming the first coach in NLL history to reach that mark.
