NLL Playoffs Round 1 Preview - Rush vs Rock

Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatchewan Rush are back at home this Saturday at 7:00 PM for the first round of the NLL Playoffs, taking on the Toronto Rock.

Saskatchewan comes into the weekend ranked third in the league standings with a 12-6 record. Ryan Keenan led the way offensively this season with 60 assists and 95 points, while Zach Manns posted 86 points, career highs for both players. Robert Church finished the season with 37 goals, leading the team through the regular season.

Defensively, Messenger led the way with 131 loose balls on the season, while Matt Hossack recorded 32 caused turnovers to lead the team. Jake Naso finished another strong season in the faceoff dot with 275 total wins (66% on the year).

Toronto comes into the playoffs in 6th place in the NLL standings with an 11-7 record. Rookie CJ Kirst led the team in goals with 34 while tying with veteran Mark Matthews for the team lead with 71 points. Nick Rose was rock solid for the team in net, posting a 9.17 GAA and a 0.815 SV%.

Saturday night will mark the first time these two teams have played in a playoff game. The Rush last faced the Rock on April 18th at home, a 10-9 overtime win for the team.
