Designed by local artist, Dan Syrnick, Rush Reimagined is a whole new jersey designed for the team (and the fans!). The brand new jersey design will be worn on the Rush's home game on March 28th! Today’s merch reveal serves as just a glimpse of the fully redesigned jersey.
Daniel "Dan Dan" Syrnick is a Saskatoon-based visual graphic artist who owns and operates the clothing and art company Bedtime Corporation. With a large scope of work including album artwork, animation, clothing design, comics, and murals, the team is thrilled with his involvement in the design process. Dan describes his approach as "pop-surrealist interpretations of the world, through a colourful, sometimes cartoonish lens".
When asked about the design process, Dan had the following to say:
“I knew I wanted to go loud and wild because of the big shoes Isaac left for me to fill (Last year’s designer). The intention of the jersey design was to visually summarize the landscapes of Saskatchewan. “From the wonderfully cliché rolling wheat fields at the bottom to the many lakes, islands, and trees of the north. Having the opportunity to design something so fully from top to bottom was an exciting challenge, and so I leaned into it by having the design wrap around as one image from the front torso along the sides and through to the back.”
