Rush Make 3 Selection in 2026 NLL Dispersal Draft
Sep 15, 2026Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatchewan Rush made 3 selections in the 2026 Dispersal Draft, including Transition Jake Stevens from the Ottawa Blackbears.
Stevens was taken with the 10th overall selection in the draft. The transition defender recorded 5 goals and 5 assists for Ottawa last year while scooping 84 loose balls and adding 23 caused turnovers on the back end.
Saskatchewan also acquired the 19th overall pick in the dispersal draft from the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2027 NLL Entry Draft. With that pick, the Rush took left-shot forward Sam Firth. Firth recorded 13 goals and 10 assists last season and previously went to the NLL Finals with the Firewolves in 2024, where he recorded 17 points in 7 games.
With the Rush's final pick of the draft, they selected Reed Kurtz. The transition defender recorded 97 LBs and 117 Faceoff wins last season.
