Rush extend partnership with Saskatoon Media Group
Nov 7, 2024The Saskatchewan Rush are pleased to announce the extension of our radio broadcast agreement with the Saskatoon Media Group (SMG) for the 2024/25 season.
The partnership features all nine away games being broadcast with live play-by-play on 92.9 The Bull FM. Fans will be able to tune in to all the action on the road, starting with the pre-game show and closing with the fan driven interactive post-game show.
Cody Janzen is back for his fourth season as the club's play-by-play announcer, taking you through every goal, hit, and save throughout the season. Janzen will also serve as the voice of the Rush during home games, which will be featured on TSN.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Saskatoon Media Group. They put a strong focus on the local teams here in Saskatoon and we know they’ll continue to deliver unmatched coverage of the Rush this coming season,” said Tyler Wawryk, Rush VP, Team Business Operations. “It’s a big province and many of us spend a lot of time on the highway and in our vehicles so to be able to have our games on the air is the best way to keep our fans up to date while the team is on the road.”
The first road radio broadcast of the year on 92.9 The Bull will be on November 30th in Albany, when the Saskatchewan Rush face the FireWolves to kick off the 2024-25 NLL season.
"We are huge fans of the Rush and not just for the great entertainment they provide but also because they support our community in so many different ways. They align with Saskatoon Media Group’s uniquely local philosophy and we can't wait for the season to start," said Steve Chisholm, SMG's Director of Programming.
Lacrosse fans around the province can listen to 92.9 The Bull FM or go online to TheBull.ca for full coverage starting 15 minutes before faceoff.
In addition to the radio broadcast deal, fans will still be able to watch Rush games on TSN+ as in previous years, like the home opener against the Halifax Thunderbirds on December 14th.
Tickets are now available for all nine home games on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre.
