Rush prospect named SAC Offensive Player Of The Year
Apr 23, 2024Saskatchewan Rush 6th round pick in 2023, Scott Reed, has been named the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Offensive Player of the Year.
Reed, led all NCAA D2 lacrosse players in scoring with 68 goals and 89 points this season. The Whitby, Ontario product helped Newberry College to its best season in program history, bringing the Wolves to the top 10 rankings for most of the spring.
In his final year of college, the grad student was named a first-team all-star as well, after tallying five or more points in 10 games.
Newberry will face Limestone, Mike Messenger and Clark Walter’s former school, in the SAC semifinals on Wednesday, April 24 in Gaffney, South Carolina.
