Rush Return to Saskatoon for Week 3 of Motion Fitness Training Camp
Nov 10, 2025Saskatoon, SK – After spending two weekends in Toronto, we are heading back home for our third weekend of training camp.
Over the past weekend, we battled the Toronto Rock in our first official on-field action of the 2025/26 season. The exhibition was the first look fans got of this year’s rookie class, with 4 of our 2025 draft picks seeing significant minutes.
Zach Manns (2g, 3a) and Brock Haley (4g) led the way on the score sheet, but the Rock’s offence ultimately came out ahead with a 17-10 final score.
The Rock took the early lead in the first quarter, going up 2-0 before Manns scored his first of the game. Haley added two more through the first, with the quarter ending with Toronto up 5-3. Frank Scigliano came out of the net after the first quarter ended for Thomas Kiazyk.
In the second quarter, Toronto again came out hot with a quick 2 goals to start the frame. Veteran Robert Church responded with his first and only goal of the night while Manns added his second in the final minute of the half.
In the third quarter, the Rock took over with 6 goals through the frame. Matt Acchione scored the only Rush goal as the score through 3 was 15-6 for the Rock. Thomas Kiazyk came out at the end of the quarter for Rookie Matthew Houlahan.
Finally, the fourth quarter, our strongest of the night. Ryan Barnable wasted no time starting the scoring in the first minute of play. Brock Haley added two more, and Bobby Kidd scored on the power play as we outscored the Rock 4-3 in the final frame, but we were unable to overcome the earlier gap as the final score ended 17-10 in favour of the Rock.
