Rush score six in the final frame, comeback falls short in Calgary

Friday night in Calgary, the Roughnecks jumped out to a lead and held it the entire way, defeating the Saskatchewan Rush 12-10. 

 

Down 4-0 after the first quarter, the Rush found another gear outscoring their prairie rivals 10-8 to close out the game while outshooting them 62-41, but Christian Del Bianco stole the show making 52 saves. 

 

Robert Church and Mike Triolo each had a goal and three assists for the Rush, while Clark Walter and Ryan Keenan had a pair of tallies as well. Mike Messenger had a goal and two assists to go along with winning 17/20 faceoffs. 

 

Frank Scigliano made 29 saves in the loss.

 

Tomorrow, the rematch happens. The second half of the home and home takes place on Co-op Field as Saskatchewan and Calgary face off. Game time is at 7PM, with the official pre-game show on 92.9 The Bull starting at 5:30PM.
