Saskatchewan Rush NLL Draft Recap
Sep 24, 2026Saskatoon, SK - The Rush made 6 selections in the 2026 NLL Draft, presented by Capelli Sport, including Left Defenceman Aaron Toguri.
Aaron Toguri, drafted 8th overall, played for the Cobourg Kodiaks over the summer and was named the MSL Rookie of the Year last summer. Toguri was previously named the OJLL Defender of the Year in 2025.
Goaltender Xavier Delormier was taken with the 20th overall pick of the draft. Delormier had a 20-0 record with the OBJLL's Akwesasne Thunder while posting a 6.77 GAA and .862 SV%.
Right-handed defender Alex Lemieux was taken with the 26th pick in the draft. Lemieux played with the Langley Thunder Senior A team last season, recording 12 points in 16 games played.
In the third round, the Rush took forward Brian Jackman. Jackman has scored 150 points over 60 games in his Junior A (OJLL) career.
Right-handed defenceman Jayden Richards was taken in the fourth round (50th overall). Richards recorded 5 points in 4 games with the Mountaneers in the Minto Cup this season.
With the final selection of the draft, the Rush took Calum Brennan from the Senior A Owen Sound North Stars. Brennan recorded 38 points in 15 games in the MSL last year.
