Saskatchewan stops in Sin City

Saskatoon, SK –– The Saskatchewan Rush (0-2) and Las Vegas Desert Dogs (1-1) will battle it out in Sin City on Friday, December 15th at Michelob ULTRA Arena. 

 

The Rush are coming off a 16-14 loss against the Rochester Knighthawks. The back-and-forth battle saw Saskatchewan have seven players with three or more points, including Mike Triolo, Ryan Keenan and Jake Boudreau who all had four-point games, Robert Church with his second straight five-point game and Zach Manns who had a hat trick and three assists. Between the pipes, Frank Scigliano has a .736 save percentage and Laine Hruska has a .724 through two games. 
 

Las Vegas features former Rush star Zack Greer, who scored the overtime winner against Panther City in week two. Greer, Casey Jackson, and Rob Hellyer lead the dogs on offence with eight points apiece, while American forward Jack Hannah has seven points through two games. Landon Kells has played every second of the season, posting a .796 save percentage.

 

Saskatchewan is 2-0 all-time against Vegas. Last season, the Rush won 15-10 at home and 13-12 on the road. Robert Church had five goals and three assists at SaskTel Centre in the home win, while Laine Hruska picked up his 2nd career win in that final game of the 2023 regular season on the road.
