Two Rush prospects advance to NCAA Tournament

After a wild weekend of conference championships, the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament is set. 

 

2023 first round pick, Levi Anderson, went off in the Atlantic 10 tournament scoring 11 goals in two Saint Joseph’s wins over Richmond and Massachusetts.

 

St Joe’s (12-3) will face off with No. 6 seed Virginia in the first round of the bracket. Anderson will face off with another first round pick, Payton Cormier, who was selected fourth overall by the Vancouver Warriors last year. Faceoff on Saturday, May 11th is at 10:00AM Sask time. 

 

2023 second round pick, Josh Zawada, put up a pair of goals and four assists in the Big10 tournament as Duke fell to the top team in the country, Notre Dame in the final. Zawada led his team in assists and finished the 2024 season with 69 points, 15 more than 2023 first overall pick in the NLL, Dyson Williams. The Blue Devils enter the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed, matching up with Utah in the first round. Faceoff on Saturday, May 11th is at 12:30PM Sask time.

 

Anderson was selected by Saskatchewan 12th overall last summer, while Zawada was picked 29th
