What to Expect - Biggest NYE Party in Sask!
Dec 19, 2023It’s going to be the biggest New Year's Eve party in Saskatchewan! Join us at SaskTel Centre on December 31st as the Rush take on the Albany FireWolves presented by Dakota Dunes Casino.
Before the game: Dress to impress! Beat the lines and get all the gear you’ll need at the Fan Experience Zone (FEZ) at the corner of 51st Street & Faithfull Avenue. The FEZ will be open 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
At the game: Like always, we suggest arriving early! You can head down to the glass to watch the players warmup, grab your favourite snacks and drinks… the ROWDY SMASH gin drink is on special! Or head up to the Original 16 Founders Lounge to mingle with friends and enjoy live entertainment.
On the concourse: Vegas Baby! Try your luck at our mock casino games setup around the concourse. Bet with your Rush bucks and exchange your winnings for prizes right at the game! Pop by the pre-game show to hear from our broadcast team as they set the scene for the game on the field, or see what’s new at our team store kiosk. Get a photo with one of our game day characters like the Hulk, Rowdy, Bruiser, or the always cheerful O16 Electric Crew Dance Team Members. You’ll also get to see some of the talented professionals from our half-time show performing on the concourse throughout the night!
Halftime: It wouldn’t be a New Year's Eve Party without a killer performance and we’ve got it covered. Performing at halftime is the incredible KC Aerials Group! This Vegas show style performance is one you won’t want to miss, so stay in your seats and have your phones ready to record!
On the field: The Rush are coming off a dominant 17-5 win last weekend in Las Vegas over the Desert Dogs. The Rush are averaging over 14 goals scored per game this season and we’re welcoming in the only other team with a higher scoring average in the Albany Firewolves, so the stage is set for a good old fashioned barn burner!
Post Game: Following the game, head up to the O16 Lounge to watch the live post-game show and hear from players and coaches while enjoying the open bar and waiting for the parking lot to clear out. After that, you can head down to the field to meet Holden Garlent, Mike Messenger, Connor McClelland, Nathaniel Kozevnikov and Keegan Bell, who will be signing autographs. Don’t forget to grab your free wristband at the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association table on the concourse by Section G. Unless you’re a President’s Club Season Ticket Member, then just show your ticket to get on the field.
