Rush spearheading SaskTel Be Kind Online Sticks and Schools Program

Nov 26, 2024

As a part of the SaskTel Be Kind Online Sticks and Schools Program, Saskatchewan Rush players will be visiting classes around the province this winter.

The program aims to donate lacrosse sticks and balls to schools who don’t currently have the equipment accessible for gym classes, along with teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse with kids in grades six to eight.

Starting on December 4th, the players will head down to Regina, making stops at a couple elementary schools. Throughout January and February, the SaskTel Be Kind Online Sticks and Schools Program will make stops in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, North Battleford and Lanigan, giving students the opportunity to try the game of lacrosse.

This season, the Saskatchewan Rush have six players living in the province, including Jake Boudreau, Zach Manns, Brock Haley, Levi Anderson, Jerrett Smith and Mike Messenger.

While the SaskTel Be Kind Online Sticks and Schools Program will provide hundreds of lacrosse sticks and balls across the province, players living locally continue to support classes and programs throughout the National Lacrosse League season.

If you are interested in having the Rush attend your gym class or community program to teach lacrosse, please contact Lauren@SaskEnt.com.
